Happy Saturday! You know I love the weekend because it means it’s time to create. Today I used my Kuretake watercolors on the new stamp set by Julie Ebersole for Essentials by Ellen. Ellen is holding a “Mix it up” challenge combining Essentials products and Hero Arts. Today, I used the Hero Arts background stamp “Capture Number Background”.
Happy Saturday! That means it’s time for a new Send a Smile 4 Kids challenge and we are celebrating Easter and Spring 4 Kids! With all the snow we’ve been getting, this is surely a lovely thought.
Again, we have some really great sponsors this week. You have until Friday, March 20th to enter.
Also, a quick reminder that Send a Smile 4 Kids is growing and has added more hospitals and volunteers to take your donated cards. We hope you’ll consider donating some cards for kids in need. Check out how.
Now, let’s get on to those sponsors:
1) Crackerbox Palace – offering 3 digital images of winners choice
2) Cutting Cafe – offering 3 digital images or cut files of winners choice
3) Kitchen Sink – offering a #25.00 Gift Certificate to Kitchen Sink store.
My first card uses Crackerbox Palace “Bunny in a Hat” and “Happy Easter Fun” sentiment. He’s colored with Copic’s and the paper is Basic Grey’s “Fresh Cut” collection. The Square and banner dies are My Favorite Things.
The next card features “Pocket Full of Posies” from Cutting Cafe. I printed out the cut file on pattern paper. To do that I run a test image on plain copy paper, then place my design paper back on top of that image and re-run it through the printer a second time. I then cut out the images as I don’t have a die machine and distressed the edges with distress ink.
I can’t wait to see what you come up with using Spring and Easter images 4 Kids.
Happy Saturday! Today’s new Sketch Saturday challenge is sponsored by Meljen’s who is generously offering 4 digital images for our random winner. Get your card in by Friday, March 13th for a chance to win.
Here’s the sketch:
I just love this image from Meljen’s called “Windswept Diva”. I colored her with Copic markers and used a paper pad from Glitz called, “Black & White”. The oval die is My Favorite Things and the sentiment banner and stamp is Simon Says Stamp.
I can’t wait to see what you come up with using the new Sketch Saturday Sketch!
