Joining Repeat Impressions Design Team!
Hello Friends. I was thrilled when Wendy at Repeat Impressions asked me to join her design team. Repeat Impressions sells high quality red rubber stamps that can be purchased both mounted or unmounted. Wendy has generously provided my blog followers with a 10% discount to purchase stamps from her site anytime by using the code (rr10ks)! Thanks Wendy.
Each Wednesday, the talented design team, called Rock Stars (I always wanted to be a Rock Star, yeah!), will be providing great inspiration on Wendy’s Blog, The House That Stamps Built. Wendy’s blog hosts great challenges with even better give aways, including a $25.00 gift certificate to her store! There is a little something for everyone like sketch challenges, color challenges, and photo inspiration challenges. The design team also hosts a “Project of the Week” where a tip or technique to better your card making and crafting skills is provided.
This weeks challenge theme is monochromatic colors using Brown, Black, and White. As soon as I saw this theme I knew which stamp I wanted to use. You can find these stamps over at Repeat Impressions: Bear – 816-N, 2719-K, Lg Pine Tree, 2710-D, Sm Pine Tree. I used distress inks to create a “burnt edge” look by building up antique linen, vintage photo, walnut stain, and black soot distress inks. I distressed the edges of a Sizzix “parchment”die and finished off with a sentiment from Tim Holtz “Simple Sayings”.
I hope I will see some of your entries at The House That Stamps Built, where you can enter a card with any type of stamp digital or rubber, but extra entries are given for using Repeat Impressions stamps. See you there!
