Happy New Year! It’s the first Saturday of 2015 and time for a Send a Smile 4 Kids Card Challenge! We have continued our tradition of having great sponsors who have generously offered prizes to our randomly chosen winners. They are:
1) DRS Designs: Offering a prize of $10.00 Gift Certificate to Random Winner
2) Doodle Pantry: Offering a prize of $10.00 Gift Certificate to Random Winner
3) Stitchy Bear Digital Outlet: Offering a prize of $6.00 Gift Certificate to Random Winner
Now, how about some inspiration!
My first card uses DRS Designs “Allie & Callie“. I colored them with Copic Markers and used Glitz’s “Felicity” 6 x 6 paper pack. Sentiment is Paper Smooches as is the “love” die.
My second card uses a digital image from Doodle Pantry called, “Heart Candy Ants”. I brought the image into Photoshop Elements and inserted the sentiment into the heart. This image is full of great sentiments for Love and Valentines cards and is perfect for this challenge. I used Copic Markers and Lily Bee’s “Head Over Heels” 6 x 6 collection then finished it off with some pearls and chipboard arrows painted with white.
The last card today uses Stitchy Bear Digital Designs “BBKakes, Balloon Boy I” which I colored with Copic’s and used recollections ticket embellishments and a die cut heart spray painted with some cool new Liquitex spray paints from Blick Arts. So cool and great coverage. Perfect for all types of paper crafting projects.

Happy New Year! Hope this post finds all of you on your way to a fulfilling new 2015! My resolution for 2015 is a commitment to getting more exercise in my life! How about you?
Today, Open-Minded Crafting is hosting a New Year’s Resolution Challenge. As usual we have some fantastic sponsors offering some very generous gifts. The challenge will remain open through Friday, January 16th so I hope you will join us and share your New Years Resolutions!
Our Sponsors are:
For some inspiration, my image is from The Stamping Boutique called, “Snowman – Father Time” and features a “chubby” Father Time in the hopes by the end of 2015, he’ll be a little slimmer! I colored the image with Copic Markers, used a Simon Says Stamp border die, and a Sizzix half-oval die. Paper is from Recollections “Blue Christmas” and the “2015” is stamped with Hero Arts silver ink using Paper Smooches “Digits” stamp and die set.
I am thrilled to announce I have joined the wonderful design team over at Sketch Saturday! This is a fantastic sketch blog that offers great weekly sketches and spectacular prizes.
The sketch this week is sponsored by Bugaboo Stamps who is offering the winner 7 free digi’s of their choice!
Here is the Sketch:
How about some inspiration? I love this Bugaboo Image called Lil Snowman Star. I’ve colored him with Copic Markers and used Little Yellow Bicycle’s Winterings 6 x 6 paper pad. The square and rectangle dies are from My Favorite Things and the “snow” sentiment is Hero Arts.
Thanks so much for joining me in celebrating my new Design Team on Sketch Saturday. I hope you will come and support this challenge by entering a card. Who knows, you could be the winner!
