From The Heart Stamps: Sketch 83; Twist – Use Sponging Technique
It’s MONDAY and time for a From the Heart Stamps Sketch challenge with a twist! I’m honored to be asked for the second time to be a guest designer for From The Heart Stamps for October and November. I love the images Faith creates and the team is is just such a treat to work with. I would love to have your support by jumping over to the challenge and entering a card. Each entry earns a $1.00 prize that can be collected and used for free images. Isn’t that cool?
This sketch was really fun. I used Fishing Birdbrain and colored him with Copic Markers. To incorporate the twist of sponging, I used a sea sponge and some distress inks to establish the ground and sea. I created the sentiment from “Milo’s ABC’s” from Lawn Fawn and found the gone fishing embellishments in my stash but to jazz them up, I took a marker and outlined them in black because they were monotone brown. I also like the woodgrain paper because it reminded me of a wood plank. I finished the fish off with a fish eye and called this fishy done.
I hope you find inspiration from mine as well as the other fabulous designers at From The Heart Stamps.
