Here is the 2nd card made using the same technique as my last card, embossing and watercolor wash. The burst stamp is Simon Says Stamp from a card kit and the sentiment is Avery Elle. I put some pearls and braided ribbon from my stash and called it a card.
Todays card was inspired both by the Fusion Sketch and the French Pastry theme offered on the Fusion Card Challenge. I began by embossing watercolor paper with white powder, getting it really wet with plain wanter, than applying some of the new FW Pearlescent Liquid Acrylic mixed with water on my craft sheet to make a nice background wash. The stamp is from My Favorite Things, called “Romantic”. The other stamps are from Alte New “Henna Elements”, stamped with black versafine and clear embossing powder. The scallop border is Lawn Fawn.
I just love this technique by Julie Ebersole that she taught in Ellen Hutson’s Classroom. If you haven’t checked it out, it’s a treat. I thought about this technique again when making this card for CAS(E) this sketch. I used Dylusions Sprays in Cherry Pie, Pure Sunshine, Squeezed Orange and Dirty Martini. The top card stamp is Penny Black from “Blooming Garden” and the bottom from Innovated Stamp Creations. Sentiment from WPlus 9 “Hand Lettered Hello”.
