Here’s another card using the technique of watercolor stamping. This is the second generation image, meaning, I stamped the first one and then used this one after re-spraying with more water. I used Distress Markers to color the image to color the Posh Impressions stamp. The background is a technique from Split Coast Stampers newsletter this week using distress paint and perfect pearl mist inside a embossing folder then running in through the big shot. It’s a bit messy, but a nice result.
Made this card from Lawn Fawn’s Hello Sunshine 6 x 6 paper pack using Freshly Made Sketches 135 Sketch. Digital Image by Doodle Pantry. They have some great images at super prices.
This card is from the lessons on Day 3 of the Online Card Class that shows how to stamp using watercolors. The background is made by putting a little versamark on a stamping block then placing watercolor around the edges of the block and stamping it on watercolor paper (at least 140 lb). Then pull it up and let dry. You can adjust and add color in areas that aren’t dark enough. The stamp is colored using Distress Markers and spritzed with water. The sentiment is from Our Daily Bread and embossed with gold. While you can’t see it in the picture (again, still learning this darn Mac), it does show up IRL. The card background is the crackle stamp from Impression Obsession. Cardstock is My Favorite Things.

I received this beautiful framed piece from my son Matt who is a Marine stationed in Japan. The birds represent my husband and I and our two boys, Dan and Matt. He has the same birds tattooed on his ankle. I also got a call from Dan and had a chance to talk to him. He is graduating in 2 weeks and will take his Physical Therapy boards. It does a mother’s heart proud to know she raised some great boys.
