Okay – I’m a class junkie – you caught me! Today starts Online Card Classes Watercolors . The first lesson is in backgrounds and this card is the lesson from Laura Basson who taught us how to make backgrounds using Distress Ink’s applied onto stamping blocks, sprayed with water, then directly applied to watercolor paper. Great mixing with the distress inks. I also flicked a little water on the inks to get them to move around. Fun, Fun, Fun! The sentiment is Papersmooches.
Love this sketch by Jen at Deconstructed Sketches. She does such unique challenges. I used the April Simon Says Stamp Card Kit and the Love Languages stamp set from Simon Says Stamp.
Back to some good old fashioned card making! This is from the April Simon Says Stamp Card Kit (I’m a little behind from moving). I embossed the light ray image with Sunny Yellow powder from Close to My Heart, then paper pieced the light bulb from the card kit stamp set. The background is an oldie but a goodie splatter stamp using Hero Arts Shadow Ink in Ultra Pink. My apologies for the photo editing, I’m still learning how to use this darn Mac and I promise the photo quality will get better. Card entered in Freshly Made Sketches 134.
